She has two diplomas of higher education (with honors) from the I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in "Medical and preventative care" and from the People's Friendship University in "Medicine". When Larisa was in charge of the PCR laboratory of N.M. Semashko Children’s Center for Diagnostics and Treatment, she began to work on the edge between Endocrinology and Genetics, and later continued her work at M.F. Vladimirsky MONIKI in the area of molecular genetic diagnostics of thyroid gland cancers. In addition to management of diabetes, thyroid and adrenal diseases, neuroendocrine diseases and osteoporosis; Larisa also has experience of treating men with reduced sexual function, patients with transsexuality and rare genetic endocrine disorders. She is actively involved in interpretation of Atlas genetic test and development of the recommendations. Larisa constantly upgrades her skills by taking training courses both in Russia and abroad, she also lectures and reports at various Russian and European endocrinology conferences. She received a governmental award for the development of biology and medicine and was three times holder of personal fellowship from the Governor of the Moscow Region, Boris Gromov.
